ABPM Test

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)

It is diagnostic test to determine the presence of hypertension by taking measurements during normal daily activities, over a span of 24 consective hours. It helps to diagnose as well as monitor high blood pressure

Key points of ABPM Test

The normal variations in blood pressure are mirroredin this test as it takes many measurements unlike the one or two during a normal clinic visit.
It also shows the heart rate at the same time.
It yields the average or mean blood pressure, heart rate and a few other parameters.
It helps predict the chances of stroke or heart attacks.

Diabetic management program

The Holter monitor is a type of portable electrocardiogram (ECG). It records the electrical activity of the heart continuously over 24 hours or longer while you are away from the doctor's office. A standard or "resting" ECG is one of the simplest and fastest tests used to evaluate the heart.
